Female P.Saulosi and M.Estherae are the only Mbnuna that spring to mind with an overall orange colouration but neither have distinctive vertical bars.

I was thinking of keeping a female P. Demasoni with P. Saulosi to see if they would breed and produce what I was looking for. I decided against that because I would have to keep the fry until adulthood to see if it worked and line breed them until I get the desired effect. I don't feel like going through all the trouble to do so.

Also there is a species with common name Kenyi, I have seen it classified as a couple different species. One being P. Lambardoi and Maylandia lombardoi has it been reclassified or are they two different cichlids?

Pseudotropheus Lombardoi got re-classified to Maylandia Lombardoi, along with some other Pseudo's but then another bunch of scientists decided that Maylandia wasn't a valid genus so that was scrapped and we're back to P.Lombardoi again. Others like Estherae got moved into the Metriaclima genus rather than reverting to Pseudotropheus - Confused yet? :hyper:

You'll find references to both Pseudotropheus and Maylandia all over the Internet though but they are definitely the same species.

Kenyi is the common name and for once, probably the easiest to use.
