Decided To Keep It Tropical-Pics Added

well i bought this yesterday to convert to marine in around 6 months when i have upgraded all the equipment i need to.. but between me and you,i actually like having tropical back in the house again....have seen a beauful huuuge piece of oak that would look nice in there too... but i have to bide my time as if my kids find out they`ll winge that im going to be getting yet another big tank

ppfft ..dunno where they get these daft ideas from

bare in mind its only been setup 24 hours or there about and i really injured me back doing it too..so its staying as it is for the time being...doctors orders

oh the fish in there are quite nice, gouramis,neons minnows,swordtails,silver sharks.. nothing special but they wernt my choice but were part of the deal,so theyll be staying

- a 10inch plec also came with the tank.. hes in with my oscar now tho

thankyou i agree with you on that score, its my 5th Juwel,and ive tried just about every other brand which dont even compare.. there just solid work horses arnt they! and although some say they are now old fashioned- i disagree and would always steer someone thinking of getting a tank or upgrading towards juwel

think ive decided to keep it simple`ish.. wont be planting as there are marine tubes in there so just wouldn`t look right.. but its a gorgeous size for lots more of the type of fish that are already in there.. im not looking for a challenge this time, more something that i can relax watching rather than stressing over

i see your a huge juwel fan yourself.. i think it was your thread that i looked at one day but didnt comment ( or notice the dates) then looked again the next day and there was another one being setup (hence the "you dont hang about" comment )

found some fry in the tank this morning.. i grabbed a huge handfull of fake plants from Bo`s tank and dropped then in - best i can do i have seriously hurt my back- i suspect they were platys...so i hope theyre going to be ok,, i knew one of the fems was about to drop i just wish i hadnt noticed cos theres no way i can catch them

ah yes lol. if i had my own way i would have a 6ft'er!

but juwels are so good as they look the part, and are sturdy.

i have had aquas, others and they just dont meet the standard. this is the first time i have had a juwel and i will never change!
