Dead fish, no known reason

If you look at her profile info, they'd have to be mollie fry as they are too large (and wrong shape) to be guppies.

Mollies fry as far as im aware, the one that died was the only orange one we had :(

I will take some of the water to my lfs and get them to test it, the water came from my established tank and that was tested not long before it was moved and everything was fine. The filter was also run in in the established tank as well

I've done a 30% water change, and will continue to do them daily

As for a testing kit, i will buy one eventually, but they are rather expensive around here ranging between £20 and £30

Yep, test kits can be expensive, but I've found that you'll get just about best value for money (and quality) from API test kits

You should realy invest in your own water quality testing kits as i hear all the time from people who have their water tested at their lfs and hear that it is fine, but when they test it themselves this is usually not the case. Looking from a lfs perspective, if they know your fish are going to die thats a good thing for them as they can selll you more fish.

You can buy some of the paper strip test kits which are very cheap but not very accurate, but at least they can give you an idea in the mean time roughly on whats going on in your tank but you will still have to buy some "proper" test eventually anyway though.
Doing regular water changes/gravel vacs though in the for the time being will help your fry alot.
In the picture of one of the dead fry with his eyes popped out it does look like pop eye which can be brought on by bad water quality but i wouldn't jump to any conclusions yet as things like eyes/stomachs can often pop out as the dead frys body starts to decompose.

I am doing daily water changes and will take my water to be tested, like ive said i will buy a testing kit when i can afford to get a proper one. I was just wondering if anyone could give me some ideas on how i could help my fry, and if they possibly knew what it is

Or you can purchase them individually and it works out more or less the same price anyway....
I find them to be really good and consistently accurate.

Thats why i was upset, my mollie was heavily pregnant, she had her fry, but i also have 2 orange platies, but none of my other fish looked pregnant

It can't be molly fry because I have 2 orange babies just like that and I don't have mollies I only have guppies and platies could it be something else
But bear in mind you can get orange mollies

LOL look from the top down on that exact same page. You can just purchase the individual ones. Postage is £2.99 1st class delivery. I had mine within a couple of days of placing the order.
You might also be able to buy the API individual kits at you lfs, but the off-the-shelf price will be slightly more expensive. So at the end of the day it will make little difference where you buy them.
Though API is loads cheaper than Tetra.

Yes of course you can get Orange Mollies - I have some !
Will, just because they are Orange, does not mean they can't be Mollies - just because you don't have any.....
