Sorry for all the questions guys, I just want to do this right :D

I just bought some frozen daphnia for my new betta, and I am currently defrosting one square (its ALF brand, and came in a small ice cube style packet)

How much should i feed him of it at once, how does it keep? Should i try and defrost smaller chunks of it instead? how often should I feed him this... (i also have him on betta bio gold and freeze dried bloodworms as a biweekly treat)

Sorry for all the questions, any help appreciated!

Hi,
My Betta's wont eat Daphinia the just watch it sink and give me the "now where's the real food" look...
I have tried my fry with it and they scoff it no problem. I just cut a little slice off the block, put the rest back in the freezer and defrost the slice in aquarium water before feeding. Hope this helps and hope they eat it...

My bettas struggle to see frozen daphnia as real food as well. However, I have a live daphnia culture going, and they snatch that up like crazy! I tend to feed around 3 daphnia per fish, so a full block is probably quite a bit considering it will probably only stay good for a couple days after being thawed.

I had a full block defrosting so I fed him a little bit on the end of a spoon from it and discarded the rest (will defrost less next time) but he ate it all! he seemed to really enjoy it, swimming around a lot to get it all :D
