Hi my danio belly is now quite large going down rather than sideways. Swimming it tend to float upwards from its tail end when slow or stoped. It is also spending alot of time low in the tank away from the others. It tries to eat but spits out straight away.

Stats Ammonia 0, Nitirtes 0-0.1, Nitrates 5

Ive tried shelled cooked frozen peas, freeze dried blood wroms, fine powdered tetra crisp flakes

Today my plants arrive so ive now planted it with live plants it seemed much happier having lots new things to explore. Ive done 20% water change. Ive been in a fish in mini cycle for 3 weeks.

Any help or things i could do.

Does this sound like anything i can cure or make better.

Thanks in advance

after reading up on the intrnet i believe a epsom salt bath is needed or this fish is going to die pretty quick. It wont eat pea so i need some advice on the ratio of salt to water and method.

I think it has swim bladder disease caused by constipation (my fault feeding too many freexe dried bloodworms to often.

Dont feed it for a few days; give it a while to get back to normal.

(Freeze dried food isn't very nutritious; if you want to feed blood worms buy the frozen ones and then defrost before feeding).

Has there been any improvement?

Ive not been able to get some epsom salts untill the morning so i will get back to you. The recommended time was 15-20 mins or unitll its gone to poo twice a day. is this ok

Ive done a salt bath in my 12litre flexi tub. The fish now seems worse. I think its too late to help with this method as its been 3 weeks now.

I used clean temperture matched water which i added stress coat too and half teaspoon of espon salts.

I will give it another go tomorrow but its not looking pretty. Could worms cause this sort of thing?
