i was using the nutrafin kit upto day 18, then my new api kit arrived, that kit straight away was telling me that I was over 5ppm.

From post "#41 when i did the nitrite test the drops went purple straight away, I shook it and after 5 minutes they turned green, no colour for it on the chart. on the fishless cycling thread by rdd1952 it says that if it happens my nitrites are off the chart."

this is the colours I was getting when my nitrite was over 5 and off the chart.
