Dalmation Molly Just Died :(

Hi all, i have had a pair of dalmation mollies that absolutley loved each other however this morning my pregnant molly gave birth to 1 fry and unfortunately passed away. She still looked very big but was swimming very unbalanced. Why could this be?

Did you keep her in a trap? Stress may be. Or it could be that one of the babies got stuck in her and caused the death.

I noticed a baby fry in the tank which i have saved and i put her in a trap for like 5 mins. So sad

Sorry to hear that but as snazy says could maybe have been complications with the birth? One of my females had died a few days before I found a fry-the only one she was still fat. That was a month ago, then,last week, on monday or tuesday, I found a single newborn fry but a few minutes later the other female was dead and an hour later the fry died too

I just think it's nature i have had previous births with my platys and no problems. I guess some females are more stronger than others. Least i still have a baby fry she left.
