Just bought some of these, the ones in the blister pack. are they ok for my mollies and bettas? And also how do i feed them to my fish? And how often?

Hi welcome to the forum

Put one (or how many is required), in a cup of aquarium water, wait for it to melt and then pour the contents of the cup back into the tank. You can use these as there staple diet (main diet) or as a treat every few days :good:
They'll be fine for mollies and a betta

Thanks
Before i checked i just dropped a frozen cube in to my tank, is this a problem?

it don't make any difference to the fish frozen or not.
I have to disagree with you, adding frozen foods to the aquarium can cause pockets of cold water, which could result in the death of a fish due to the sudden temperature change.
lol a sudden temperature change could result in the death of a fish. nonsense.

A sudden change in temperature is a very common way of fish dieing. That is quite basic fish keeping knowlege.

Thanks for all the help
But surely a small block of ice isnt going to change the temperature enough to cause any harm

A tiny cube of frozen food isn't going to alter the temp at all, however I defrost before use so I can share it between my tanks

That is contrary to the experiences of other tff members. You are correct in saying it won't change the temp of the tank, but it can cause pockets of colder water, theres a difference. Those pockets of colder water is what can kill the fish.

does not

Well I hope you are not right, I was advised in another thread to bury a frozen cube of brine shrimp in the sand so my panda cory's would be able to enjoy it without the other fish eating it first. Can't imagine a tiny cube like that changing the water temp in my 50 gallon tank enough to cause problems for the fish.
