its not harmfull at all realy it does wiff if you leave the bottle open. bso just don`t do that and you`l be ok

not being familiar with amonia - i just had reservations about using chemicals and any fumes etc and / or detrimental effects initially on a newly planted tank. - anyway all the replies i have now received have disipated any fears and i shall start the introduction of amonia in the morning. thanks to everyone. i'm looking forward to an earlier end to cycling than was previously anticipated.
