Well got a 40gal tank yesterday us gallons, cycled it overnight tested it in the morning and a little disturbed on the reedings
Right away the first test was 0ppm for amonia and Nitrite at 0ppm as well
huh there should be something in there.
Retested it about 1 hour later and now have .25amonia and .50 nitrite and of course the filter is not the proper one so going out today to find a external for it as its my daughters new tank that is housing my breed of gourmis till most sell. Tank will be lightly planted with Spirit, Waga and a few other plants for now trying to get it cycled.
thaught to myself lets polute the water and wait ~ Amonia 8.0ppm and nitrite 5ppm glade there is not fish in there the fish that came with it are in my 55 gal planted tank for now but need to move the tetra over to this tank as they will do okay in the 55 for now since its heavily planted (been in there for a day now and doing good lots of plants they are hiding in, I didn't want the fish to come with it but had to take them)and none of the angles are bothering the tetra well that is for now, the angle i got with it is smaller than my angles as mine are about 10" from top fin to bottom fin and this angle was in with tetra when I picked the tank up ftw>< Well now i have to monitor the planted tank to make sure everything is okay till this tank circulates ~ need some sugestions getting new filter today I think this biowheel is not working right no meadia at all a filter that spins and a worn out filter on the inside ><. not only that I think the biowheel is for a 20gal >< I might update later.
