Cycling Question

I have a 75g with a Rena XP3 completely cycled.

I just bought a 90g with an Eheim 2217 (uncycled).

I want to eventually put the rena on the 90g and the eheim on the 75g (just because the rena has higher GPH so maybe better suited for the 90g? thoughts?)

Would it be faster to take half the media from the rena and put it in the eheim, and then run BOTH of them on the 75g (as the 75g has a constant ammonia source)? Or am I just messing things up?

I'm in a little bit of a time constraint. I have a turtle in the 75g and he needs to go to the 90g ASAP as I'm getting fish for the 75g and they're coming by the end of september. (and obviously the turtle can't be in there as he will eat the fish)

From what I've read if you put some of the media into the new one, it'll cycle the tank for you.

Just fishless cycle the 90G but make sure to use some of the mature filter media or a handful of gravel, ect. Here is the link on how to do a fishless cycle. http/www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/113861-fishless-cycling/

Well I have all new biomedia going into the Rena XP3, which is now setup on the 90g. All mature biomedia was put in the eheim 2217.

But the rena xp3 has the mature sponges in them (and so new sponges in the eheim) so I hope this will be enough to help kick start it.

I've decided to "fishless" cycle the 90g. Quote unquote "fishless" because my turtle will be doing the job lol. Will monitor the levels though, for his sake, but he's a lot hardier than fish!!
