My ammonia dropped yeasterday for the first time i added more chevked today its gone again dosed back up my nitrite is 8 and nitrate is 40 do i jst keep dosing back up everytime it goes down or do inwait till my nittate goes down afore i dose back up

Yup, keep dosing ammonia every time you get a 0 on it. It would be a good idea to do a half dose of ammonia until the nitrite starts disappearing, else you can end up with the wrong type of bacteria or they'll just never get through it.
