Cycling Poll: With Fish Or Without?

Curious as to the ratio of people who cycle with fish, as opposed to without.

I've heard the arguments for each, thanks. Just curious as to the actual numbers of people who do which.

In this instance, without fish includes any fishless methods, including ammonia, plants, media from other tanks, anything without fish.

Not asking which is better, faster, safer, I'm asking what you actually do.

Question:

I have an aquaclear 70 and a Tetra Whisper 45 on a 35 gallon tank. The fish that lived in it recently died. There are just snails in it now.

If I put the Aquaclear on my 220 gallon tank while the new filters on it are running, will it help the cycling?

Always without fish, why expose fish to the Ammonia when its not necessary...

First tank I started with ammonia and test kits and since then I always seed the tank with enough media.

It's a no brainier. Even if you had no thought for your fish, a fishless cycle is just easier.
