Have just set up a trigon 350 to put my African cichlids in. I have 2 aqua 1 filters that have been running my existing 240 ltr tank for 10 months with no problems.
I have taken one of these filters and connected it up to the new set up.
How long will it take to be ready for my fish to be transferred into new tank.

if the filter media is cycled and full of bacteria, it would be ready right away, no waiting nessessary

As long as its the same media in the filter your good to go. The bacteria will die off if thered nothing in the tank so the sooner the better

That's great then. I am going to transfer the other filter on to new tank as well as soon as I have moved the fish in.
Wasn't sure if I would have to wait until it had filtered for a few days.
