I heared from someone i purchesed a tank from that i should cure live rock in plain (ro) water is this a good idea or will i hert good stuff?

You can't cure live rock for a saltwater tank in anything but saltwater. The point of curing LR is to grow bacteria that will act as your biological filter. Those bacteria won't survive outside the right sg/salinity range, so you will definitely need to use saltwater.

Fresh water will kill any and every good thing in and on the rock.
