Here's some pics of the Ansorgii's i got of Dave_oddballs. They're in a 40g Long with some Channa Orientalis and 2 dwarf aquatic frogs.

great purchase, :good:
they really do look stunning, a fish i definitely want to own one day

well to say how much people like them it took me long enough to sell them!

anyway, glad they went to you, they look happy and i know you'll look after them.

let me know if you ever want a couple more to extend the group, think they'll be about £4 each.

Dave

yeah they was in the classified section since before christmas!
nevermind, they eventually found a nice new home!
they are stunning fish, have a similar face to a betta, don't know why people would want to breed a man made dysfunctional fish like a siamese fighter when there are far more stunning similar fish like these up for grabs!!

They are gorgeous, what kind of temprement are they? Maybe the reason you couldnt sell them Dave, was because people didnt know much about them?

nevermind!

well when i had them they were feisty little fellas! they usually just squabbled amongst themselves but on occasions they even chased away the rotkeil severums from their patch!
there needs are very much like bettas, soft, acidic water, just like a black water set up, low water, lots of twigs and leaves and still. they look happy enough how they are but if you wanted them to breed you'd have to change a few things, like their own tank lol
very nice all the same.

I did want them Lol but unfortunately I only have space for one setup and I felt I couldn't give them the setup they deserved,
plus I got the Nandus so it was smiles all round at the end of the day

They seem really quite friendly at present not really seen any squabbling at all. They were really shy the first two-three days and didnt really have any colour but they did start to colour out and now look great. They're outgoing fish and incredibly fast when they want to be , they can be stationary for a good bit of time if some food comes by Bang! theyre there so good at striking the food. Tried them on pellet food and they seemed ok with it, wouldnt touch flake but loves the blood worm which they get a lot off. They're currently in soft water with a low ph, i am using 50% RO water with 2peete bags in the filter.
I would like more but really would like a spare tank at some point just for them (will have to get one if the snakeheads ever breed!grrrr at them!) but for now it's suprisingly well :)

Would recommend them to anyone:)
