i didnt see no attacking, no one has said you are wrong have they, they have just said what they think, and ye i dont think its cruel cause loads of people put there bettas in 1 gallon tanks the only difference is that this 1 advertised has a photo frame infront of it so it ''looks'' like its in the photoframe but actually its not, you see that doesnt mean i'm attacking you i'm just teliing everyone my oppinion.

whats wrong with that like, they are proper tanks with decorations around them. :dunno:

fish belong in tanks or the sea. putting them in a pic frame or bubble tower is just cruel. sometimes i wonder what people would have to say if we did this to other animals or even humans!

P.S U NEED TO SCROLL DOWN AFTER OPENING LINK!

The picture frames ARE normal tanks, have a look at the second picture:
215_Floating_Pictures_2_gallon_desktop_.jpg

See the normal tank behind the actual picture frame? Yes it's got a slightly angeled front, so what? It's not only an inch wide or anything. And the bubbletower says that it should not be used for fish. These items are not aquariums. No Fish Allowed.

Please read through everything and look at things properly before claiming what someone sells is horrible

I think that is what she saw as 'an arguement' and I'm not going to deny I might have sounded a bit harsh. If Laura indeed took this as personal and feels really bad, I apologise for not having put it in better words. I don't quite see why it's 'everyone on this forum' that did something wrong though, when the only thing being said to you by someone (me in this case) that would have been taken offensive was said by 1 person, no more.

I hope you (Laura) will understand it wasn't meant as a personal attack, and will find some joy in looking around this forum again. It really ain't all bad.

Other than that though, I do stick to my original opinion and will not edit anything in the post I made on page 2.

I noticed, I simply didnt think anyone would care about keeping a 4 inch dwarf angel ina 10 gallon tank, the folks over at nanoreef do it all the time in tanks smaller than that.

no hard feelings gys although i do think i might keep my opinions to myself a bit more..... have always had trouble in life due to being to outspoken!

there is no such thing as being too outspoken...no point in keeping your opinions to just yourself - no matter what you say there will always be people who disagree and attack...so learn to accept it and continue to share your views or a bunch of stiffs will try to influence us all

I'm outspoken too Laura so don't sweat it. Difference is I don't give a smeg if someone wants to bite back or disagree in a nicer manner. I enjoy a good debate.
As for the matter of the site I still think those first tanks are not good. Granted they are normal tanks, if somewhat small, but the idea of even one fish being in a tiny tanks does so not appeal to me. At least with a proper sized tank you can try and get close to simulating their natural enviroment (says she with ornamental castles in her 55g :*) But they are used as hiding places by the catfish and they aren't bright pink or some such....) and have a more correct number of fish together for shoaling etc.
Their sole purpose is to appeal to those who don't have fish, to get them interested. Nice in theory but terribly ignorant and will ultimately spread the ignorance and mistreatment of the fish. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have experienced people to talk to or ask questions of. So they resort to lfs's that couldn't give a rats posterior either way so long as they get their money.
And just because 'nanoreef' does it, doesn't make it right!
I'll shut up now. :p
Hugs,
P.

Yeah, and people keep bettas in little thimble-sized cups. But just because you can do it doesn't make it less cruel.

The rule for salt-water is 1in of fish per 4g of water. Thus, a flame angel would require at least a 16g to live comfortably.

Oh I'm sorry, I didnt mean to imply thatit was right or a good idea to keep that fish in a 10 gallon, simply that it was a common occurence, like the bettas in thimbles of water. I hope you havent taken my comment as any sort of perminent offence, I simply wanted to defend my powers of observastion, perhaps I got to caried away in doing so.

On another vien, you can be too outspoken IMHO, the squeaky wheel gets the grease but the noisy pheasant gets the Axe

...said the pot to the kettle. :p (neener neener neener)

think of it this way laura... we like opcn, so we'll probably like you too. :fun: heck, they even put up with my abrasive personality around here!
