Croaking Gouramis Water Current

Croaking Gouramis have a special organ called a labyrinth organ, this allows the to breath atmospheric air.

Adding aeration would be pointless apart from adding bubbels to the tank
 
It depends on how strong. If they are relatively small bubbles that don't cause a major current, disruption of the surface won't bother them (though it helps to have floating plants). They will react to it at first - as would any fish - but it'll only take a short while for them to get used to it.

BTW, even gouramies that breathe air (not all do - like licorice gouramies for example) will appreciate well-oxygenated water as they still take some in from their gills.
