Is there anything bad about feeding live crickets to fish?

No there shouldn't be. I'm guessing if it's for your newly purchased ABF, that's what they eat. But not stuck strictly on a cricket diet.

But isn't feeding a cricket to a fish like feeding a shell to it?

2 questions.

1. I thought i heard somewhere that feeding live crickets can give diseases to fish.

2. I feed my fish flakes and apparently the ABF wont eat them because he doesnt really notice anything flat on the surface of water as food... will he eventually figure out he can eat them? since he didnt eat flakes this morning i gave him a live cricket ( i have live crickets from by bearded dragon).

You can try baby shrimp and bloodworms. Mine eat those. I haven't tried crickets yet, but I probably will.

The crickets may carry worms.

So i shouldnt feed it live crickets cause they can give it worms?

I've fed my tarantula crickets since Christmas and there have been no problems . However since this is about a fish I would think that might make a difference. I think it might be ok to feed your fish crickets, but I would make sure you give it healthy ones that don't look sick or lethargic. That's what I do.
