Creating A Wavey Sand Effect.

Hi everyone.

I currently have black grave in my 40 litre wave aquarium it looks OK. I was wondering how to create that wavey look using sand?.

You could do with some flat stones, or pieces of plastic and place them into the sand horizontally creating contours. They'll act as a #41#### holding the sand back then you just place a little bit over them so they are under the sand layer still holding them in place. If its just small ripples your after, or slightly contrasting contours then you can just create some mounds yourself, although you will have to still use some stones just to keep it in place. The current and your fish will eventually flatten them, i've never had much luck keeping my sand contoured especially with digging fish.
