You too can create your very own Sponge Bob Square Pants themed fish tank.

Includes Pump, Filter and Fun Stickers! Wahay.

so u gonna get it?

Probably not now, but might when my little boy is a bit older and wants a first tank of his own. I know the fish are interesting enough, but the theme would be quite cool too.

got my girlfriend (shes 19 lol!!) one of these a lil while back and she keeps a couple of guppys in there.

its a little small but shes well trained and does water changes more than once a week and the lil things are thriving in there.

biggest tails on guppys ive seen.

If that is anything like the US version it comes with a little air pump and a deco of Spongebob. Its a horrible little tank that basically lies and says its easy to keep fish in but in reality is not all that great for anything beyond a couple guppies or a betta. It doesn't even have room for a real filter or a heater and only has about 2 gallons in capability. Its basically just a little tank designed to amuse your kid for a year and then be thrown away after he kills the fish.

Get him a big snakehead he will love it! :hey:
a snakehead in that tank??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

seems to me if this tank had office furniture in, not sponge bob, the reaction would have been some what different!!! or was it Tesco everybody was upset at.??????????

that tesco tank was the absolute worst tank I've ever seen. (I loosely refer to it as a tank)
oh yes that is very true, though tesco did at least inform you of the size of the tank, there is no information on that at all, that i could see!! its been stated that it is too small for a proper heater, lol and filter. like how bad does it need to be? i was just wondering why it was so well received???

its not too small for a heater at all.

well siobhans fits in there jus fine. filters works fine too so theres no need to add another.

and it does actually say its 4 gallons on the box so add a few spongebobs and its still atleast 3 gallons which is fine for like you sed, a betta or a couple of guppys.

aye I've seen them before, it's filtered and heated, fine for a betta or a couple of otto's and a shrimp, few little fish, something like that.

yeah it's not ideal but it's good fun, I'd have one for a betta. :)

well sorry but because of the absolute lack of info offered by the place selling it, i only had the above quote to give me any idea of what it was like!!!!!!!!!

taking a rough consensus from the tesco thread, it was said by many that tanks of this size were not good some even advocated a ban!!! this is not sold as a Betta Palace, it's being sold as a fish tank!!! i fully accept that you all feel this tank is good enough to use, its the inconsistency in the reaction between the two threads that is confusing me??

the tescos tank was about 1 gallon if that.

this is 4 which does open up alot more options (wheres jayjay with his list when you need him).

i admit its still being sold wrong but in the right hands then its fine.

and jus another thing to add. pets@home have a quick guide on there site for choosing the righ tank and what to do etc.

tescos had none of that.
