I've had 1 male along with 2 females for around 3 months and still no babies. Is there such a thing as an infertile guppy?

Maybe he preffers male guppies

I've heard of female guppies being infertile as they get older, i had one myself from a young age that never once was gravid and all the males ignored her even when she was young... strange :S

Happens with platies too. I have 2 females who have never been pregnant - both have some kind genetic problem though I think as they are massive in size - both a good 8cm in length which is almost double the size of my other adult platies

My F3 generation of guppies. Had several females, neither of them ever got pregnant for the whole 1 - 1.5 years they lived. They died and I got left with males only. I never bought guppies so there was no way to save the colony or to check which was the infertile side.

There are indeed sterile matches from time to time, just as there are in people. It is one re4ason that a breeder never lets his stock get down to a single fish of each sex. If he does, he risks losing that line through infertility.
