Ive always admired the mbuna tanks etc I see on here. Im getting another tank over the weekend its the above size. What could I keep in there and is it big enouhgh to set up like the wonderful set ups I see on here ? :good:

You had any idea's or seen/looked at any fish in particular?? Plus Are you planning on fish from lake Tanganyika/Lake Malawi or Victoria mate? Although the tank's not to high and it's not to deep, it's still got the 4ft length (which is the minimum for african's) I had the same size tank when i first started with malawi's and although the depth did irritate me when it comes to rock scaping the tank, it did look nice and i had roughly 10 to 15 in there. They did need a larger tank quite quickly though but i was new to the hobby back then so to me it looked nice. I think going the Lake tang route would be the better option for your tank, its roughly 140L and im pretty sure there is much more tang species that can thrive well in smaller set-up's. :good:

~140l, could do a nice smaller scale Tanganyikan, but Malawi setups are more aimed at ~240l upwards.

Biassed but yeah, you could have a nice Tanganyikan set up in that tank, I run 2 with a footprint of 48"x15" :good:

Cheers, Sean

Hell yes! Tanganyikans of course!
