Could I Get Any Rams For A 60l Community?

can i?

i will have cories, pitbul pleco, honey gouramis

thanks

I disagree with truck. You might be able to have a pair but it depends on the length of the tank. Even then, 15 gallons should be alright for a pair. Make sure you have lots of hiding spots for them.

i personally wouldnt mix rams with gouramis...

Why not? Honey Gourami a so peaceful. I have mixed Honey Gourami and Ram in the past with no ill effects what so ever. The Honey Gourami minded his own business and the Rams normally went after each other.

i meant i have schooling fish in different tanks.

tanks about 2ft long.

so if i wanted a ram, i coul nt have 2 honey gouramis?

hence my opinion lol. the majority on here will say 20 gallons min for a pair including me. when i kept them with gouramis they didnt take kindly. and that was in a 15 gallon. with one ram.

I see no reason why the Ram and Gourami would fight...

Some sites say 20 gallons, others say 10-15. The tank is 2ft anyways, which is the size of a 20H, so it shouldn't be a problem.

im going on what happened to me personally.
and its not just about volume, its about the space in the tank, and space for the male and female to have separate territories if they dont pair off.

i would say one sqaure foot of tank floor for each ram. a 20 gallon long, or a 30 gallon tall will provide this for a pair

Like I said, volume isn't important with these fish, it's more length and width. I am thinking 2ft would be fine, but I guess you never know. Mine were in a 4ft.
