Im thinking of getting a pair for my 30 litre tank wil this be a good or bad idea thanks.

Cories prefer to be in groups so at least 5 would be best if you have space.

30L is a really small tank. If you put in 5 standard (bronze/albino bronze) you'd be all stocked up by the time they got full grown, as the females seem to top out at around 7.5 cm.

I'd suggest you get a small group of dwarf Corys. C. habrosus, C hastatus, or C pygmaeus. All these species top out at around 2.5 cm, although the latter two are more midwater than bottom dwellers. You could put in a group of 6-8 and take up roughly the same stocking space as two adults of a regular species.
