I purchased 2 corydoras today, I will be going to get 4-5 more to make a group and hopefully they will feel even more at home and less shy but anyway they absolutely love my pleco, they follow him around constantly and if he takes a break under his wood they even try to get under there with him!! Another thing i wanted to mention was i really dont know what type of pleco I have, his dorsal fin has a red line on it and hes quite small, not grown in the 3 months ive had him, can anyone help?

The cories are most probably trying to 'shoal' with the plec because they're nervous and there aren't enough of them for them to feel secure.

We'd really need to see a pic of your plec before we could identify it; there are hundreds of species of plec, many of whom look very similar.

It will be a good move getting more cories, they are much happier in groups.

Not too sure about the plec though, a photo would help :good:

Ive tried my hardest to take a picture of him but he just hides :(, hes a real strange colour and in the months ive had him hes not grown at all sounds strange but hes like a "tabby cat colour" lol but his face is spotted! and hes a reallly dark green in colour

I recently got given 4 Sterba's corydoras due to my cousin's tank cracking and that left him with no where to put them. I was concerned about them adapting to my tank after going through all of that plus me transporting them but then I saw all 4 of them doing their little dance at the front of the tank. Please excuse the crappy phone video recording.

It might be my imagination but since I introduced these four corydoras the other fish seem to be more active, my tank looks so busy now. Anyway I just adore these guys their goofly little wriggling style of swimming just cracks me up.
