My dad has 2 convicts that are basically my responsibility. They are in a 75 gallon by themselves, and have already had 1 litter, with another on the way. What would be the best to do-keep them together and keep giving the fry to the pet store or seperate them?

its really up tp you!

do you want to pay to feed and house fry every few months (or how ever often they spawn).

can you get rid of them easily?

if yes then go for it although i wouldnt expect to turn a profit with them.

one thing to consider tho is you could stress the female out if shes constantly taking care of fry, she could do with a rest between spawns.

i havent had convicts personally but that same advice applies to most cichlids i think.

They're probably happy if they are breeding, and if the pet store will take them, I'd just keep letting them spawn. It's interesting watching fish breed and watching the fry grow up.

After a while you will find that nobody wants the fry, as everyone who does want them will have them, and you will be left with hundreds of what are the aquatic version of rabbits :hey:
If it were me, I'd let them have a couple of broods a year and cull the rest maybe feed them to larger fish if you have any, that way you don't flood the market and have happy fish too.
