Looks like they are going to lay some eggs soon, they have been pecking at the plant pot for the last week and the female had turned bright orange again.

Also it looks like her egg thing is out like it was the last time and she layed them within a day of that happening.

What will happen to the fry thats already there??

The parents will either ignore the older fry or see them as a threat and they will kill them off that dont hide well enough. Its just one of the things to deal with when you have a breeding pair in a tank, they are so prolific my HRPs used to breed every week.

At the end of the day your never going to be short of fry as long as you have cons so as harsh as it sounds your stock can stand to loose a few here and there if it happens.

how can i clean the tank??

I really wanna clean the rocks and things the hot weather has made it a bit rank but i dont wanna disturb anything or kill any of the fry already in..

got any suggestions??

syphon the fry out into a separate container while you do the cleaning then add them back in might take a while to get them all though

I find that with my Convicts, (as is with most Cichlids)... If I leave them to rear the fry.... they breed again after (approximately) 4 weeks. If, However, I remove the eggs/ or fry to develop in another tank.... they will breed every week.
