Hi everyone,

I was going over the huge 9-page BAAS topic on pin requests and came across these topics that pertain to planted, though they also pertain to other sections. Some of the information is outdated, but they are still useful. I'd love some opinions on them before I incorporate them into PARC, especially on the Brackish topic.

Planting Brackish Aquaria

Sanitizing Plants

Plants that will survive a cichlid aquarium

Also, anybody want to tackle the last post in the suggestions thread here?

Possible substrate article?

I'm very busy with work right now, but I think the topic is rather important. If I like it, it'll be pinned and placed into PARC. We do need a good substrate article.

i thought about doing the article on substrate, keeping it simple and about the different substrates for planted tanks and the age old question about planting in gravel.

I don't agree with much of the 'sanitise plants' link.

The one I do is the last one. RINSE THOROUGHLY.

I know I do the same thing. I thought it a bit much, but someone did request that it be pinned in BAAS, so I thought I'd take a look at it first. I'm really kind of mean with the pins. If I like 'em, I pin 'em. Regardless of what anyone else thinks. Usually, though, we're all on the same page and you tell me here what you want pinned.

I wonder about the brackish and the cichlid ones, though? They could be of use. I have to read them more closely. It's the main reason why they're in this thread. Otherwise, I'm digging through 9 pages of pin requests. Uh...no... not doing that again...

I have no idea on either of those 2. lol.

I just know that some people kill their plants before they get them in the tank by over zealous cleaning. lol
