Congo Tetra

Hi just recieved 4 Congo tetras off a friend I have put them in my Roma 200 they are still less than an inch. any one got any info or experience with these fish!

Info is keep in larger groups, of course. They can and will grow over 3" in a good environment, so as you can imagine make quite an impact when adult. I would keep them in any tank starting from 4 ft long.

I Have 12 of them in a 350L, they were pretty boring when i got them about 1.5 inch and silver. They are about about 2.5inch now and thats in a space of 9 weeks. They colour up very well. What exacly are you after?

I've got six (will be 12 when I can afford more) in a four foot with six emperors, some cories and an angel, and they're lovely fish.

Really, they're no trouble at all; eat anything you give them, don't nip or chase anyone and really glow once you get them home and they mature :good:

Ya so i have four at the moment how many should I be looking at?

As with all shoaling fish I'd recommend as many as you can fit in, but at least 12 if you possibly can; they'll look better and behave more naturally.
