Comunity Tank

Hey there, I have just purchased a 125L tank and I am going to create a community tank. I have looked at alot of different fish etc and noticed that cichlids seem to be aggressive. But they happen to have the best colours etc. SO i was wondering is there any cichlids that won't attack other fish and that are peaceful. Also what other types of fish have unique colours and markings?

Rams don't really attack other fish if provided with enough territory. Severums also come to mind
