Complete overhaul on 2fter

Okely dokely. I've taken everything out from the 20g apart from the filters, heater and sand. I'm redecorating it all over again, and need some ideas. I DO NOT want plants, whether real or fake. I also don't have a great deal of cash. So, any suggestions, pictures to work off etc? Fish are 9 danios, anything else I could add? Oh yeah, the substrate is playsand.

If you don't want plants and don't want to spend to much, rock is pretty much the last option.

I bought some PVC piping, a 3 foot piece cost me 6 bucks and i had it cut the size i wanted.

You could also use driftwood you find yourself, or buy it but it is usually quite pricey...

What about some clay pots? Or maybe some large colorful marbles? Both you can pick up at pretty much any store that carries craft items & they are fairly cheap. The small pots you can pick up for 2 for $1.00 here & the largish marbles are like 4 for $1.00 here. Adds a little color and fishies like to play hide and seek in the pots. I made a hidey hole with tunnel out of 3 small clay pots & aquarium safe sealant. It cost me $5.00. Sorry I dont have any pics tho.

If you don't want plants, I have seen some interesting 'wood only' tanks, that recreate amazonian rivers around tree roots. Not mangroves.

Also, there was someone on here who designed there tank to make it look like a zen garden type thing, lots of bamboo and different piles of rock. It look very good, but a it of a nightmare to keep clean and tidy I imagne!

In my 10g i got some shells from when i was in italy a few years ago, i also got some corraly type of thing. Not really sure what it is but its pretty, i got it from mabelthorpe last week. (a local coast). There is also a terracotta plantpot with a couple of pinky slabs that go well with my gravel. It looks really pretty and i wish i had some pictures. Ill try and post one on when i get some done.
