Hi
My Girlfriend bought me a Juwel Vision 180 tank for my birthday under the condition that i get her an angel fish, the thing is i really want a Tiger Oscar and was wondering would these fish fight or would they be ok together and would my tank be big enough for these two and a pleco and if there is room for anything else?

Thanks Adi

well, angels and oscars wouldn't really work, and tbh I think that the tank is too small for an oscar anyway - so angels are your best bet - there are hundreds and hundreds of plecs - I assume you are talking about a common plec, again there isn't really enough space in there.

angels and oscars arent really a good idea
if you want to go for angels try that....but do you have oscar fever

180 is 180 litres yes?so thats about 47us gallons
oscars are reccomended too be kept in a 75us gallon as the least and up......

what are you wanting to go for?
seriuosly oscars no
if angels go for 1 pair :good:
or what about firemouths/convicts/rainbows/keyholes...obviously your choice is limited not all of them you have to choose seriously

yeah i really wouldnt go for an oscar in anything under a 75 gallon and that is the bare minimum. i would go for a nice planted look with some angels and maybe tetras along with some cories or plecos :good:

I reccomend a Leopard Gourami. Eventually he will get big enough to rosy reds much like an oscar, but will be peac eful enough to coexist with your angels, and small enough to live a very happy life in a tank that size. But they must have an ornament to hide in the brightest part of the day, and they will come out when you come to the tank to feed them.

Wow I just googled a leopard gourami.......those things are awesome! I want one. Thanks for the reccomendation discus I have never heard of those.

You just gave some bad information in my opinion... Firemouths are most likely going to be too aggresive the only guys I would add with the angel are the rainbows. Also, IMO you really don't need a pair with a tank that big I would say try 3 or 4 non-paired angels, add a few rainbows if you like them, maybe some corydoras if you like (they take junk off the bottom but they don't produce as much waste as a pleco) or the pleco and if you wanted you could add a small dwarf cichlid such as a German Blue Ram.

sorry obviously you didnt read the text correctly. .....i said "OR what about a firemouths/rainbows so on.....didnt say with the angels was throwing out other ideas other than angels as doesnt sound like he likes angels......you can always get around the missus when it comes to fish i always have :good:

Iam not telling them how many they should have just what i would do..................then it leaves other avenues open to different fishes
