I have a 3ft setup which I have had for about 8 months. In my tank I have 3 clown loaches, 2 bala sharks, 1 red-tailed black shark(who is very well behaved), 1 bristlenose catfish. I would like to get a couple more fish and am not sure what to put in there. I don't want anything too big as the bala sharks need all the room they can get. I had 3 electric yellows which I gave away as they became too aggressive. A bit more colour would be nice. I don't want anything too small either as the bala sharks might think it is food.

:hi: , introduce yourself in the newbie section
1) how many gallons is the tank?
2)the balas should be removed as they will get way too big for that tank, they grow to be massive, even though they may look small now
3)some cardinal tetras should look nice and will give you a splash of colour and a group of corydora catfish should look nice and active. and some dwarf cichlids such as Blue Rams would look nice aswell

The sharks will have to remain in the tank they are in for now as I do not have the $ to get a bigger one, they are quite small at the moment. The tank is 150ltres which i think is about 39 gallons. The blue rams sound nice. I had a group of neon tetras when I first set up the tank and they all had neon tetra disease, then I had a small group of glowlight tetras which kept getting white spot, I think the electric yellows may have been harrassing them. I gave them away. So I am not too sure about getting anymore tetras.

you could always trade the sharks in with your lfs, but thats up to youz
the electric yellows should never be keot with your types of fish as they are African Cichlids and are really really aggressive to community fish
