I have a 300 litre tank with plenty of caves, bogwood and plants.

Anyhow, my tank is understocked, and am considering buying Bolivian Rams - are they compatible with keyhole Cichlids (6), Red Line Torpedo barbs (6), clown loaches (5) and bristlenoses (3)? I want to keep my tank peaceful!

Also any advice on how may to buy (if you agree that it is a good idea) as I would like to breed.

Many thanks.

Bolivian rams and keyhole cichlids should be fine together, Keyholes and Bolivian Rams are Very placid cichlids. you could have a pair of each with no problems.

However, there are other problems with your current stock, the Clown Loaches will out grow your tank eventually, they do grow very slowly, but I believe fish should be kept in an adequate tank from the start.

Cheers Jack, agree with you on the clown loaches - initially I thought I had done enough research on the clowns as I was so concentrated on buying in numbers so that they would be more content etc, but a number of posts have mentioned your concerns. I certainly made a mistake here, but unfortunately cannot do anything now until I either get rid now or at a later date when they are getting much larger.

Thank you for your help :good:
