Compacta Sword?

Has anyone ever had these?

I bought one a week ago, and the runners are growing like crazy.

"compacta" is a variety, not a species. You can buy Echinodorus bleheri var. compacta and Echinodorus paniculatis var. compacta for example - there are others.

In conditions to their liking, most Swords are vigorous growers.

I went back to the LFS and he said it was an Echinodorus Parviforus 'Tropica'.

I bought another one, $5.99. Couldn't resist.
