Colourful additions

Odessa barbs aren't fin nippers. Tiger barbs are the worst barb for fin nipping, most other barbs are fine and don't normally cause problems. However, if you have slow moving fish or fish with long fins, they won't get much food with barbs in the tank.

Oh thats good to know Colin. I havent got any slow moving fish.

Ive got 12 dwarf neon rainbows which arent slow coaches when it comes to feeding with 8 corys in the tank at the moment.

When i do come to add more fish id really like to add a group of odessa barb.

Do you think i could add a group of say 6-8 with the above fish i already have?

1/2 male to 5/6 females?

barbs and rainbows get along fine.
if you keep barbs, get similar numbers of males and females (4 males & 4 females).

If the tank is big enough for 8 more fish, they should be fine together.
