Charlie's tail is beginning to heal up. My question is....The "skin" that is filling in between the rays on his fins is a diffrent color that it was.. When he is all healed up will it go back to it original color? Charlie is a bright red and the new fin is a whiteish color.
 
That's quite normal for it to be a different colour. Some get their colour back eventually and some don't but it can take quite a while :good:

the white is the foundation of the fin growing again and this will follow with whats called the base colour this can be either light grey, dark grey or black, i know black is finrot usually but you will notice if its finrot as the edges will be the only parts that are black and not the whole area, the top coat will follow and this will be his red, this viaried colour change can be very quick so dont blink :good: :rolleyes: the colour of the base colour depends on the genetical history of the betta.
