Seriously, hope your ok.
Be careful with the shell itself as it can be razor sharp.

ps. the coconut has two soft holes whch can be punctured easily but the third is solid.
Unfortunately they are in the wrong place to make a decent cave.

O I just play with them outside till they break. Throw really high then lands on concrete. You don't get a straight break but its a lot easier and looks more natural IMO.

how funny i made coconut caves yesterday afternoon - no blood but a lot of sweat n tears lolol thankfully i didnt read this thread 1st

LOL, I got rather queasy reading about your little mishap! Didn't you go to hospital to get it all stitched up?

Anyway, the coconut caves look nice. I bought mine from someone on the forums here who was making them to order last year.

Did you remember to boil them well, to get rid of the tannins? If not you could find they turn your water a yellow/brownish tint.
