I have just got back from a holiday and my tank appears to have developed cobweb type things. Has anyone got any idea of what they are and should I be worried?
Details:
Tank is 120l, light to medium stock, planted.
I have been away for 11 days, fish were only fed once during this period as I could only get one visit from my friend. They were left with a feed block "Tetramin" They are fed regularly frozen bloodworms and flake food. Up to now I have never seen these occour.
The "cobwebs" are up to a foot long and formed of several fibrous thin strings running paralal forming ropes maybe 2 mm wide.
All fish look healthy, water stats upon return are Ph 7.8, Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 60. I am not doing water change straight away as am giving the fish a couple of days feeding before stressing them with one.

1 Dwarf frog
2 Cherry Shrimp
6 Leopard Danios
2 Black Skirt tetras
4 Phantom Eye tetras
