Hi,
This is very early days, but I may be able to supply a limited quantity of CO2 solenoids for under £20, or maybe less. This is most likely to be after the new year. What I would like to know is how many people would be interested. I've only posted here as I'm really impressed with the friendly-ness of TFF, and especially the planted section that I frequent so much. I'd like to help my fellow forumites get a bargain if possible, so please post a 'count me in' just to get an idea whether it's do-able.
You are not committing yourself, just giving me an idea of numbers.
The solenoids are 220V, and to keep costs down, I'd prefer UK only, but what the hey.
The only drawback I know of is that they run hot (60C when tested after a hour) but a bit of hands on could easily build a heatsink to help dissipate this.

solenoids. I'm hoping to buy them from work, and pass them on, at cost + pp, to my fellow plant-heads. Hopefully my co2 tube will be delivered from AE tomorrow, so I can run one of these solenoids for a few days to see if its up to scratch.
