I have a small 21.6L tank with java fern and anubias and I'm thinking of co2 to improve their growth. I did buy ferts but sadly it killed my african dwarf frog! I assume it was the ferts anyway as he got sick when I started adding ferts. Now I have 2 more frogs so can't add ferts.

The growth of my plants is ok but they do get dirty brown leaves which i have to wipe off each cleaning. The glass however stays nice and clean.

What would I need for adding co2? Would it be of benefit in this little tank?

if you aren't going to add ferts then C02 is a no no i'm afraid.

Yeah unfortunately adding CO2 with no ferts will cause your plants to have more problems. What ferts didyou previously dose and how much?

Tropiflora and I put in 14 drops for my 21.6 litre. I assume that's what did my frog in because he started floating and his skin sort of started coming off. It went on for weeks and the only thing I'd done was add ferts every 10 days.

It's pretty unlikely the fertiliser killed the frog - possibly something as a result, but not the fert (or ferts in general)

IMO
