Hi gang..

I have bought a cheap one from ebay (Item number: 370452823965)

The description on the listing says:

Instruction

Join 7 Drops of testing liquid in the tester, then add about 5 ml water of the jar. Overutrn the tester and point upwards
Fix tester on postition of about 15cm under the water surface in the jar.
Compare with the test color for Co2, Green is OK. Blue is not enough co2, Yellow is too much co2

Specification
Ph Color Test Card

Ph reagent bottle

I have the drop checker and Ive bought a bottle of De-ionised water. I have read elsewhere that the components needed are 4Kdh and Bromothymol Blue.

The bottle I have recieved with this ebay purchase doesn't state what it is. The liquid inside is yellow/orange in colour...(?) Could it already be a mix of both?
Do I need to get anything else?

Thank you :good:

The bottle of 'yellow liquid' is bromo blue.

Buy some bicarbinate of Soda and weigh 1.2g (accurately) and add to 1 litre DI = 40dKH

Add 10ml of 40dKH to 90ml of DI water = 4dKH

Add 1.5ml or so of the 4dKH and 2-3 drops of the bromo blue into your DC

rats. it's gonna be cheaper for me to buy 4dKH than scales good enough to measure that accurately.. -_-

Thanks AC :good:
