Well, I have been trying to get a steady CO2 rate in my tank for ages... Sometime I would get it spot on, other time adjustment of the thumbwheel would take ages to reflect in the bubble count and so on, adjustment was amazingly hard.

For some time Ive had my diffuser, diffusing straight into the external filter inlet however this periodically fills the messes the filter up which ends up breaking the syphone

Last night a small thumwheel tweak resulted in a CO2 OD (of which 1 Otto perished for which I'm truly sorry) so I decided enough was enough.

I had bought some Rhinox CO2 tubing which arrived from Singapore and I'm waiting for a glass spiral diffuser. I removed the diffuser and positioned it under the filter outlet and used the new Rhinox tubing. Current tubing was what with supplied with the kit, a black soft tube, Rhinox is a hard clear tube

WOW :good:

The new tubing has made a massive difference, bubblecount is amazingly spot on, any tiny adjustment with the thumbwheel is abolutely reflected in the bubblecount, I've got it a 1BPS now and in doing so, had to adjust the thumbwheel down significantly.

Guess that tubing does make a massive difference :good:

I have often wondered about upgrading my CO2 hoses, so this is good to know.

Is Rhinox tubing easy to attach to glass items like diffusers and bubble counters?

Hi Dave, seriously - amazing difference!

The Rhinox tubing is hard to get over the lips of the CO2 nozzle, took some heating and application of lube (i used Stress Zyme!!) Not got the glass diffuser yet but I imagine it will take a few minutes

Quality stuff tho and my bubble count has never been so accurate AND only cost about £7 all in!

You probably had a leak at the connection with the old tubing, or a hole, tiny one etc.
