Clown Loaches V Malaysian Trumpet Snails

Hi,

that would depend on the size of yoour tank as they grow huge and need to be in groups see www.loaches.com . Most botia types will eat snails, though they don't eat trumpet snails as readily as other types of snail. Have you seen the new assassin snails that have come out recently? there are a few posts on here about them and they eat trumpet snails.

ive got a 4 foot tank and im not looking to totally remove them just cut them back a bit as i got 15 and they have seriously multiplied :hyper:

I have two clown loaches in my 566litre and it does seem the population has greatly reduced you always see them rush over every time i uncover one wilst syphoning........you could invest in clown loaches, as they are the only few fish that the prices bumps up as they grow and could net you a tidy profit, they take forever to grow

I only have one at the moment in my tank , i brought it at around 6inch , ive never seen anywhere selling them at that size, owuld small clown loaches get on with them? would like to give it some friends:) oh and i dont get why they take ages to grow as they eat soo much. I'm either going to sell mine when it gets to around 8inch unless i have cash for a bigger tank
