clown loaches fighting????

Hi

I've just got in from the pub to find 2 of my clown loaches looking like thry are either fighting or mating!! I thought that was what us humans did!

They are shaking and sort of lunging at each other but not in an overly violent way. Both of them have subdued colours and there is no attempt by either to retreat or get nasty. Wots going on??

Anyone seen this before?

To be honest I'm not sure although I thought these fish were very peaceable. Mine love each other and lie on top of each other on their sides. My frontosa goes very pale when he gets harrassed by other cichlids, and the veins on his head stick out (his blood pressure probably goes sky high). I guess if they're changing shades of colour it is aggression. How big is your tank?

Tank is a Juwel Rio 400. Big enough 4 them. I'm really not sure it aggression as they all get along normally and all have their own spots to hide out in.

Perhaps they are play-fighting. Have only had min a few months so I'm also still learning. Nice fish arn't they
