Clown Loach Troubles

They'll run out of snails faster than you think. They are such pigs that when the snails are gone, they'll starve for a day or two and then they'll be all over the place at feeding time. I kind of got the same scare, then saw the empty shells as you did, then realised the snails were all gone, next thing, they came out for food clicking away every time
Honestly, I got a snail free tank a couple of days after I got the clowns

Its amazing how fast they gobble up the snails. I just started a ten gallon tank for just snails and i drop a handful in and they all are empty by morning. I have five clowns atm and i just love them. Very entertaining little critters. Just sad i had to put my six foot tank in the basement. Im down there all the time but the poor heaters arerunning constantly. Thinking i need to insulate the three sides of the tank because its going to get cold down here... Bummer
