I've lost 5 Clown Loach, one will be dead by morning. I tried Quick Cure and it didn't help. One of my blue Gormaies had a gold spot. Loach covered in white slim. I've had tropical fish for 40 years and never have I lost this many fish. My Clown that's still living is a 10 inch fish. I have Platy, cat fish and a red tail shark still unharmed.

have you tested all the levels. i mean pH etc. because their might be too much ammonia or something like that. thats sucks though. i have the same problem at one point and mine were a good 12cm long. i think my problem was that i had too much phosphate and nitrite in the water which i have sorted now and they seem to be fine. i hope you find the problem.

The last of 6 loaches died last night. I have a 72 gallon tank. I talk to the local pet store and the first thing she ask was about water test. I've had clown Loaches forty years. I've never had a lost like this. I added 4 platys to the tank and now I have 50. I'll never buy another platy. I never once thought about the problem being over crowding.....
I'll take the Platys out.

Ime Clown Loaches are very fragile fish, the first to show signs of disease/illness in my tanks...sorry for your loss.

I'm going to do a water change today and drop the number of fish and let the tank repair itself. It's been twenty years since I used a test kit, possibly a bad move.
