put my guppy into the breeding tank today as she was getting quite plump although showing no signs of near dropping, thought it was best to give her time to get used to the new tank before dropping anyway, in she goes 10 minutes later job done :hyper: , dunno how many as it is a heavily planted/decorated tank but hows that for timing

It may or may not be good timing MOW4T. Sometimes the stress of being netted will cause a livebearer to drop her fry early. Keep an eye on your new fry just in case they end up needing some help by being a bit early. When I want to save fry, I move the female to a separate tank a week ahead of the expected drop date. That way she has time to settle in before the fry drop.

I agree with oldman, the stress may have brought it on,i know from pass experience of trapping them, they drop a few then stop, then a five days later they do the proper drop
