What is the best way to clean out my tank?
The ourtaments?
The glass canpoey?
The last batch of fish had a fungusand i wanted to make sure it dosen't stay on the equiptment.

I use a bleach/water solution. In the summer, I hose the solution off in the yard, in the winter, I rinse smaller items in the sink, & fill the tank with plain water with double the dechlorinator, drain again & fill.

Some people use a salt/water solution, I like bleach because it takes care of viruses, fungus, and bacteria. It's cheap, & there is always a gallon or 2 in the laundry room.

hot water and a lot of salt, and let it dry out for day.

what i like to do is put the fish inside a bucket, with about the temp of the water in the tank, dump out the water, take out the stuff and rocks, and once everything is out, bleach it. let it stay for a while, then wash it out as best as u can, then do the same to the rocks and the things inside ur aquariam. then put in some fish salt, one table spoon for every 5 gallons. then pour in ur water.

Table salt, if you can't leave it to dry, use a hairdryer on low heat, also in a bucket of hot water and salt run your filter in it to sterlise it removing the sponges, how will you be cycling the tank again, if you boil the sponges or throw them away.

Sure, bleach is bad for fish. It's basically the same as chlorine in chlorinated water. As long as you treat your water properly, your fish do fine. A bleach/water mixture is nothing more than super chlorinated water. Treat it as such & everything works out.

An excess of any chemical in the water is bad for fish, chlorine, bleach, dechlorinator, meds, the list is a long one. Used properly, like dechlorinator, and they are an item that is pretty much does what they are supposed to. Dump in a large bottle of dechlorinator, or any other fish related product to the point of overdosing the tank, and you will have problems.

Used properly, bleach is your friend. :D
